Meet Your Maker Wrap-up
The Durable Goods Concern’s second show, Meet Your Maker, was a testament to the fact that artisan manufacturing is still alive and well in the United States. The event was a remarkable gathering of craftsman, entrepreneurs, and educated consumers.
The DGC has clearly transitioned from a team of four guys to a family of like-minded business owners from across the country. We think it is safe to say that Billy Moore is the wild uncle of the family. Hailing from the mountains of Tennessee, he kept the event hopping with his quick wit and a Mason Jar full of apple pie moonshine.
As the DGC family continues to grow and create, we will be sure to bring everyone together from time to time, and we will keep you informed on new products and newsworthy happenings.
A very special thank you goes out our gracious host David Pierce at OHIO Design for providing us with such an incredible venue.
We greatly appreciate everyone who helped spread the word about the event: Thrillist, Urban Daddy, 7×7 Magazine, The San Francisco Chronicle, SF Indie Fashion, Revolver, and Details Magazine.
Lastly, we thank all of the friendly, passionate, and intelligent people who came to the event and made it a raging success.
This is only the second of many gatherings to come. In the meantime, take pride in what you buy, and be proud of your concern.
More photos of the event coming soon!
